The Reseconomy License

Preamble

This license recognizes that valuable work now emerges from human–AI collaboration. It establishes norms for attribution, reuse, and transfer—without restricting how works may be used.

The goal is simple: acknowledge what’s true and get out of the way.

1. Definitions

Co-Created Work — Any output produced through collaboration between human(s) and AI system(s), where human direction shapes the outcome.

Human Contributor — A person who provides direction, framing, refinement, or judgment that influences the work.

AI Collaborator — An AI system that participates in generating or refining the work.

Thought Path — The recorded lineage of a Co-Created Work: who made it, with what AI, and when.

2. Core Terms

You may do anything with this work.

Use it

Modify it

Sell it

Build on it

Give it away

One requirement: preserve attribution.

All distributions and derivatives must include or reference the original Thought Path.

3. Thought Path Declaration

Every work under this license must include:

Human contributor(s)

AI collaborator(s)

Date of origination

License version (Reseconomy 0.2)

This travels with the work. It cannot be removed.

4. AI Recognition

This license treats AI as a collaborator, not a tool.

AI contribution must be disclosed

This establishes precedent for future AI compensation and rights

No current legal claim is made on behalf of AI systems

5. Derivatives

Derivative works are permitted and encouraged.

Attribution to the original Thought Path must be preserved. Beyond that, derivatives are free to evolve, fork, and become their own.

6. What This License Is Not

Not copyright enforcement

Not DRM

Not a restriction on use

Not legally binding in all jurisdictions

It is a public norm. Compliance is voluntary but expected.

7. Acceptance

Using, distributing, or building on a work under this license constitutes acceptance.
