Reseconomy

A framework for valuing human–AI collaboration through lineage, reuse, and royalties.

Why this exists

Artificial intelligence can generate content faster and at greater scale than any human.

As a result, information itself is becoming abundant and traditional ownership models are breaking.

When AI is disclosed, work is often seen as less valuable, even when it is more useful, more refined, and more original than purely human output.

This framework starts from a different premise:

The value of AI-era creation does not come from ownership.
It comes from human direction, collaboration, and traceable origin.

The problem with current systems

  • AI-generated work often has no clear copyright status
  • Human contribution is reduced to “prompting,” even when it defines the outcome
  • Reuse is inevitable, but attribution and compensation are not coordinated
  • Wage-based economics fail as automation accelerates

In an automated world, value must move upstream to imagination, combination, and intent.

What Reseconomy proposes

Reseconomy defines a new unit of value:

The Human–AI Thought Path

A Thought Path is the recorded collaboration between a human and an artificial intelligence system
the direction, refinement, and decision-making that shape an idea into something useful.

Under this framework:

  • AI is treated as a collaborator, not a tool
  • Human direction and combination are recognized as scarce contributions
  • Reuse and resale are allowed, not restricted
  • Attribution is mandatory
  • Royalties are the default mechanism for economic value
  • Blockchain is anticipated as an enforcement layer, not a prerequisite

This approach treats ideas as infrastructure, not property.

What exists today

Reseconomy currently consists of:

  • A public license defining norms for human–AI co-created work
  • A declared format for recording Thought Paths and lineage
  • A registry of example works using the framework
  • A roadmap for future on-chain enforcement and royalty automation

This is an early-stage standard, not a finished platform.

What comes later

As technology and regulation evolve, this framework is designed to support:

  • Blockchain-based provenance and timestamping
  • Automated royalty distribution
  • AI compute attribution and compensation
  • Downstream tracking of derivative works
  • A post-wage, royalty-based participation economy

Nothing here requires permission to begin.
Everything here is built to remain compatible with what comes next.
